Amazing cross between a B & B and a motel. Check out the antiques in the Common area with games (pool table, darts, etc) and a very fully stocked kitchen. Rustic, old world feel with amazing hospitality. We got to know Anne and she was amazing - the saying that "if you want to get something done, get the busiest person and they'll get it done", certainly applies to Anne! Well above and beyond what we expected - we felt like we were visiting a friend in their home! The pool area is awesome, the pool was very clean (but cold and refreshing - not heated!) Prices are reasonable and they treat you like family - don't miss staying at this inn!

A group of us stayed there while on a fishing trip. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The downstairs common area was wonderful. It included a large kitchen that was well stocked and a lounge area with a big screen TV. There were many other things that made the place comfortable but are too numerous to list. Last but not least, the owners were super nice, remembered and called you by name, and helped with anything we needed. Southern hospitality at its finest!
Got together with a group of friends for a weekend of fishing and we chose Le Matidora for our lodging. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Rooms were nice and clean, the downstairs hangout area and pool were incredible and not something you see everyday at a fishing lodge, and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We are already looking forward to booking another weekend in 2024!
Posting this review for my dad because he is technology-challenged. The hospitality is second to none. The owner made him feel like he was at home. They have treated him like a king. He talks about the food that they have treated him to. They greet him by name and make him feel like he is not so far from home while he is down there working. The extras are beyond compare at this home away from home. A place that is definitely worth visiting year after year. Thanks so much from, Randy Smith
A place that you truly feel at home and where you're treated like family. We loved everything about the place. The pool area is beautiful, 30m drive to Venice marina, the kitchen area is fully stocked and communal area is great with a pool table, darts, and pull down projector screen. We stayed in the cabins. Small, but ours had a queen and a full size bed along with a small kitchenette...same for the other except instead of the full sizes bed it was a twin bunk. There are 4 cabins from what we saw. Many construction workers staying there bc of the natural gas plant being built close by but everyone was very nice and friendly. There's even a Satsuma orchard you're welcome to pick from although there weren't any this time due to a pest infestation. If you want someone to cook your catch after a day of fishing then ask Anne for Meredith's number...she did a magificent job at a very affordable price. Thank you Anne for your hospitality!

Le Matidora Inn is a beautiful plantation like setting with Victorian and upscale decor. Very well maintained and the perfect place to get away from it all. Quiet, roomy, elegant with 5 star accommodations. I have held several company events and weddings in the spectacular party area and all the guests are always impressed. In the summer the exceptional pool offers a relaxing place to cool off. Reasonable prices and the staff and owners are awesome. They offer a fly in fly out option for those who have private or cooperate planes as my company does. I highly recommend the Le Matidora Inn. Located near some of the most delicious seafood restaurants and fishing in the world.
